This application is specific to Comprehensive Bicycle and/or Pedestrian Plans. Eligibility criteria are below.

  • Municipalities < 10,000 population are eligible for the combined Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan, if desired. 
  • Municipalities > 10,000 population are eligible for a stand-alone Bicycle Plan or stand-alone Pedestrian plan. 
  • Counties < 50,000 population are eligible for a stand-alone Bicycle Plan or stand-alone Pedestrian plan. 
  • Counties > 50,000 population are not eligible for our planning program.

This application is specific to Project Acceleration Plans. This plan type is only available for communities with < 5,000 population.

This application is specific to Existing Plan Updates. All municipalities are eligible and counties with population less than 50,000 are eligible to apply for a plan update if an adopted plan is more than 5 years old. 

To apply for a traditional bicycle plan, pedestrian plan or joint bicycle & pedestrian plan, please do not use this application - instead use the Application for Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning Grant Funds also available on the website.
